Intro to Pole 

Come get a taste of what you will learn in our 4 week series classes in this gentle introduction to Pole Dance and Fitness. Not sure what to try or where to start? This is the perfect class! No previous dance or fitness experience required. This class is just $10 but fills up fast so please pre-register to ensure your spot in the class. ($10 rate is for first timers, if you are retaking this class it will be a drop in rate of $20)

 

Pole 101 Drop-In

Can't commit to one of our weekly series? Join us for this gentle introduction to pole dance and fitness.

Pre-requisites: none 

Tip: do not wear any oils or lotions day of class please remove all jewelry prior to using the poles.

This series is for all levels! Can't commit to a whole series, want to give choreo a try first, or just looking for an extra fun class to take? Come try socks choreo! 

Prerequisites: Pole Dance 101 or equivalent skill.

Come stretch and gain range of motion in a safe and structured way. This class is for all levels and will be tailored to your abilities.

Abs & A$$

Abs and A$$ is a concentrated workout focused on developing and toning your glutes and core to strengthen and stabilize your body. It celebrates the body by lifting, strengthening and defining that backside. To deepen the burn and build true strength and shape, from the inside out, you will target the glutes from multiple planes (standing, hands and knees, lying on your back or side and more) which will allow for a full body experience.

Yoga

This class incorporates yoga postures, gentle movement sequences, breath work, supported silent meditation, and guided relaxation to support increased awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, and quieting of the nervous system.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

Open Pole

Open Pole is a self-led pole session for you to work on that latest move, trick or choreo you learned in class. Take time to explore with no set curriculum. An instructor will be present but will not be leading a warm up or instructing. Open Pole is just $11 for series members currently enrolled in a series. And $16 for those not currently enrolled in a series. This is not for first timers.

 

Pick-A-Trick

It's exactly what it sounds like. Pick a trick that you have done in class but want more time with or that you did a long time ago but need a refresher. See something on the internet that you want to try? Bring it to class and the instructor will help you with your picked trick! (...as long as it’s safely within your skill level, if not, we’ll start you with the progressions necessary to get there!)

Pole Lab

A guided, group pick-a-trick class that gives you more time to explore the shapes and transitions you've learned in your series classes. Led by our expert instructors, Pole Lab is a chance to focus on foundational moves and transitions, and experiment with new variations and combinations. It's like a lab for pole enthusiasts who want to push their boundaries and unleash their creativity. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a curious beginner, Pole Lab is a safe, supportive space to learn, grow, and connect with other pole lovers.

Movement Sanctuary

Movement Sanctuary is a safe space where we focus on the quality of our movement through breath, intentional practice, understanding muscle initiation, discussion and play. This class provides an opportunity to explore movement in a deeper, more connected way. Each session is unique and allows you to choose your own adventure (through song/move requests and the freedom to adapt moves to your body/mood). Movement prompts and feedback are provided by the Movement Sanctuary facilitator, with the goal to empower, explore, and refine. 

 

We learn moves (floor & pole), transitions/combos and free dance, while focusing on increasing fluidity and musicality. 

 

Prerequisites: None

Bring: Knee pads, socks, water, and any songs you’d like to move to

Movement Sanctuary: Heels

This edition of Movement Sanctuary focuses on moving in heels (stilettos for pole, example brands Pleaser & Hella Heels). Movement Sanctuary is a safe space where we focus on the quality of our movement through breath, intentional practice, understanding muscle initiation, discussion and play. This class provides an opportunity to explore movement in a deeper, more connected way. Each session is unique and allows you to choose your own adventure (through song/move requests and the freedom to adapt moves to your body/mood). Movement prompts and feedback are provided by the Movement Sanctuary facilitator, with the goal to empower, explore, and refine. 

 

We learn moves (floor & pole), transitions/combos and free dance, while focusing on increasing fluidity and musicality while in heels.

 

Prerequisites: Heels experience (intro to heels workshop, heels choreo, or equivalent) and at least 4 Movement Sanctuary classes

Bring: Knee pads*, heels*, water, and any songs you’d like to move to

Movement Sanctuary: Spin

This edition of Movement Sanctuary will feature spin exploration, guidance and play. Movement Sanctuary is a safe space where we focus on the quality of our movement through breath, intentional practice, understanding muscle initiation, discussion and play. This class provides an opportunity to explore movement in a deeper, more connected way. Each session is unique and allows you to choose your own adventure (through song/move requests and the freedom to adapt moves to your body/mood). Movement prompts and feedback are provided by the Movement Sanctuary facilitator, with the goal to empower, explore, and refine. 

 

We free dance, practice spin moves, learn how to control our spins, while focusing on increasing fluidity and musicality.

This edition of Movement Sanctuary is great for beginners! We focus on learning how to move in heels (stilettos for pole, example brands Pleaser & Hella Heels). This is recommended before taking any of our heels classes. In this workshop we:

-work on finding your balance in heels

-practice walking in heels

-learn moves (floor & pole) in heels

-free dance while in heels 

-answer questions you may have

Saturday in the Studio (SIS)

This two hour session devotes time to building community. We’ll connect, sip tea, and some other activity that will change each session. It also serves as a Pole Hale drop-in (free if you have a makeup class credit to use!) Otherwise you can sign up on Schedulicity for $16 (members) and $22 (non-members, all are welcome–bring a friend!). 

Future Sanctuary Session topics will change every month, but will always be community-centered. Upcoming events may look like: book clubs, movie nights, guest speakers, movement workshops, or field trips. Stay tuned!
